A hearty, no-bread-maker loaf that’s wholesome, filling, and simple to bake in a normal oven. Dense, satisfying, and full of goodness – the opposite of airy supermarket bread!

Serves: 1 loaf - 10-12 slices
Allergen info: Gluten (flour, oats), seeds (optional).
Ingredients
250g plain wholemeal flour
100g oats
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
½ tsp salt
300ml natural or Greek yoghurt
2 tbsp olive oil
50g mixed seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, flax)
Method
Preheat oven to 200°C (fan 180°C). Line a loaf tin.
Mix flour, oats, baking powder, bicarb, and salt in a large bowl.
Stir in yoghurt and olive oil until just combined.
Fold in the seeds.
Spoon the mixture into the tin.
Bake for 35–40 mins until golden and a skewer comes out clean.
Room temp: Store in an airtight container for 2–3 days.
Freezer: Slice and freeze for up to 1 month.
